The first thing you need to be able to know is the age of the roof.If your home you have owned it since it’s beginning that answer is easy to come up with. If you bought it used it is not so easy to try and figure it out.But there are some things you can do to figure out it’s age. Generally I tell all my clients of my San Diego roofing company if there roof is over 20 years old it needs to be replaced.This rule isn’t set in stone but it is a good measure to go by.
Next thing to look for is are there any leaks throughout the home.As your roof starts to get older there is going to be more leaks that happen over time. If you do start seeing a lot of leaks in various parts of your roof it is a good sign it needs to be replaced.
